Su-Hayat
Stoneware, el yapımı 2020
Su, insanın yaptığı ilk kapların sebebiydi. Anadolu topraklarında çömlekçilik M.Ö. 6000’lerde başladığında, ilk amaç suyu taşımak, saklamak, sunmaktı. Bu koleksiyon o ilk ihtiyaca, suyla kil arasındaki en eski ilişkiye dönüyor.
Su-Hayat, elle şekillendirilmiş stoneware sürahilerden oluşuyor. Her biri suyun iki halini taşımaya çalışıyor: akışını ve dinginliğini. Sürahinin işi sadece su taşımak değil onu sofraya bir değer olarak getirmek, içme anını sıradan bir hareketten küçük bir ritüele dönüştürmek.
Stoneware’i seçmemin sebebi de bu kalıcılık. Sağlam, dayanıklı, topraktan gelen bir malzeme; tıpkı taşıdığı su gibi, kuşaktan kuşağa geçebilecek bir nesne olması için.
Su-Hayat (Water-Life)

Water was the reason humans made their first vessels. When pottery began in Anatolia around 6000 BC, its first purpose was to carry, hold, and offer water. This collection returns to that original need to the oldest relationship between water and clay.
Su-Hayat is a collection of hand-formed stoneware jugs. Each one tries to hold both states of water: its movement and its stillness. A jug does more than carry water it brings it to the table as something valued, turning the act of drinking into a small ritual rather than a habit.
That is also why I chose stoneware: for its permanence. Strong, durable, drawn from the earth made to be an object that, like the water it holds, can pass from one generation to the next.
